This version of "Breathe" takes the rock edge off and slows the tempo down a couple notches. Phil Joel is handed the reigns on this one, which is not very often, but it breaks up the monotony of just hearing Peter Furler all the time. The lyrical content is slightly different than the other one though. Essentially, it's the same message: Let go and let God. For die-hard fans of Newsboys, you can tell Phil Joel had a hand in writing this one. His writing style is a little more serious than that of Peter Furler and Steve Taylor's writing, which tend to lean more towards comical.
