So! After lots of fun and work that entailed a carb rebuild, plugs, wires, timing set, headers, custom exhaust fab work, and blah blah blah, my car is finally running decently. Mind you in this video the only thing I hadn't done yet was unplug the idiot lights (the computer isn't connected any more) or adjusted the fuel mixture. Thus it was running really rich, hence the smoke. Figured I'd give it a little rev for the camera, because some folks insisted on video. It is a 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS with the standard issue 305HO motor, Edelbrock intake and carb, Mallory cap, rotor, & coil, MSD wires, Accel stubby header plugs, Hooker Competition shorty headers, cheap Arvin oval mufflers, and custom fabricated true dual exhaust with no cats. She's a work in progress, but so far so good. Yes, I adjusted the fuel mixture afterward and did a little burnout. I'll film a nasty horror show with it some other time.
